Rebecca Alexander Rebecca Alexander is the author of “Not Fade Away,” a memoir about living with Usher syndrome type III, a rare genetic mutation that impacts her hearing and sight. She has appeared on “Today,” “Morning Joe,” and "The Dr. Oz Show." Losing both her sight and hearing since she was a child, she fell from a window when she was 18, leaving her physically shattered. Refusing to lose her drive, her zest for life, or her sense of humor, Rebecca is now a psychotherapist with two masters degrees from Columbia University. And despite only having a sliver or sight and significant hearing loss, she is also an extreme athlete who teaches spin classes and competes in endurance races. |
