Henry Greenfield was born with severe hearing loss and wore hearing aids from ages 2 to 15, and later received cochlear implants in both ears. When he was 9 years old, he began participating in No Limits theater productions for children with hearing loss. The organization had a profound impact on his life he said, adding that he came up with the idea for the bike ride as a way to advocate for the vital services it provides. “I want to give other kids with hearing loss the same experience I had,” said Greenfield.
